Internet meme: A lifestyle meme that went viral on Douyin in early October 2026, with the slogan 'Weak people drink beverages; strong people drink big water.' The core gesture is grabbing a roughly 2L water bottle and chugging it head-back. It became part of a 'XX Theory' family alongside 'Thin Muscle Theory' and 'Big Sleep Theory,' hitting Douyin's trending list on October 5 under the hashtag 'The whole internet enters the Big Water era.' Usage: Used to mock or self-deprecate the phenomenon of packaging simple lifestyle choices as grand 'theories.' Video clips typically show a hand lifting a large water bottle and chugging it, captioned 'The whole internet enters the Big Water era.' Medical professionals warn that rapid large-volume water intake can cause water intoxication and advise against imitation. (10/11)
